Young people are our future. The Singapore Youth Awards commends youths who open new horizons. Their service to the community is exemplary. Their power to motivate young people is valued even more. For the giants that they are, we salute them.

Singapore discus thrower Mr James Wong returns from a two and a half year layoff and is determined to bring cheer to his sport. He is going for his eighth gold at the 25th SEA Games in Laos.

Dr Victor Tong is recognised for mentoring students from MOE’s Science Mentorship Programme,and known for his accomplishments in computational immunology. He is also the first Singaporean to clinch the prestigious TR35 award.
