SYA Logo Rationale
A national-level design competition was organised at the formation of the Award in 1975 and the current SYA logo was adjudged the winning entry.
The letter "Y" formed by four arms extending upwards represents Youth. They are also symbolic of the four main races of multi-racial Singapore. It shows the four races working in unison, contributing towards youth development in the five disciplines of the Award - Arts and Culture, Community and Youth Services, Entrepreneurship, Science and Technology, and Sports and Adventure.
The disc at the apex of the logo represents the common goal they work towards and also the disciplined minds of the youth. |
